VIDEO PRODUCTION
Before shooting occurs, I begin with an assessment of the location in which the shoot is to take place for lighting, noise pollution, layout and available power supplies. My set-up times generally take up to an hour at the most and break down times at about 30 minutes. The shoots are scheduled in 1 - 2 hour increments depending on how much content is to be shot.
VIDEO EDITING
Before I begin editing, I review and organize the footage. Additionally, I compare the files that I have in my possession to the shot list (if available) to ensure that I have all the footage needed to proceed. Proxies are then made of the raw footage to prevent slowdown of the editing software. These proxies are replaced with the hi-res copies during every export. Finally, any separately recorded audio is synced with the footage.
Once the project file is properly set-up and organized, the editing commences. Music and sound effects are added after an initial rough cut (based on the script structure) is created.
MOTION GRAPHICS
Before I begin animating, I storyboard out the animation concepts on paper or in Storyboard Pro, if time is allowed where rough animated mock-ups can be created. For the actual animation, I use Adobe After Effects.

PHOTO RETOUCHING
Before any retouching begins, it is determined what type of retouching is to be performed. I begin with Lightroom, making selections of the best shots before proceeding with general corrections with color, exposure levels and cropping. Photoshop is used when more complex retouching tasks are required.
GRAPHIC DESIGN
Before any mock-ups are created, I begin with doodling on paper, many concepts in chicken scratch form. After selecting the best ideas to further develop, I translate the ideas into digital mock-ups. You decide which mock-up concept is to be developed further into something final.
Below is a listing of the equipment and software I currently use in my daily operations. I own all the equipment and software utilized. I have the ability to work onsite or remote through telecommuting. This is all I use. As you will see, it is the bare essentials.
COMPUTER & OS PLATFORM
While I am familiar and experienced with MACs, I prefer PCs. I have a 64bit, 32gb RAM, i7 Core PC that an handle all the various digital media projects thrown my way so far.
Below is a small sampling of my equipment and software in action on past projects. More can be seen in the Photo Gallery section of this site.
