While I received a B.A. in Fine Arts, much of what I know is from years of self education. As a youth it was from "behind-the-scenes" publications. As an adult, it was and still is from online courses and tutorials.

My professional background began in Graphic Design and Web Design before transitioning into video and photography production on a freelance basis. Now I bring all my experience to each new project.

Meet The Brains & The Braun
My name is Matthew Christopher Hightshoe. I am the owner and founder of The Creative Cortex. I am a visual storyteller with a background in art, graphic design, photography and video production. I formed TCC to provide truly affordable video and photography production and post production services to the everyday person on the everyday budget. I am not cheap, but, I am still below market value. I have expertise and experience and that is what you are hiring me for. My ability to "do a lot with just a little" results in a higher level of production value than you would get with some other cheap route.

While I offer prepackaged and bundled services, every customer is unique. That’s why I also offer customized plans to fit a client's needs exactly. Whether it’s a small strategy or a comprehensive effort, I’ll sit down with a client, listen to their requests, and prepare a customized plan.

The below individuals are colleagues of mine that are brought in to assist on video and photography projects when the scope is too large for one person like myself to execute. Most projects I can do myself but it is great to know that when the extra help is needed, these individuals can assist.
